Welcome to Jefferson County, Washington's
Wheel-In Motor Movie!
210 Theatre Road
Port Townsend, WA
(360) 385-0859

The Wheel-In was built in 1952 by
Ernie and Geneve Thompson,
and continues to be operated by members of its founding family.

The drive-in is located near the Jefferson County Int'l Airport, about halfway between Port Townsend and the communities of Chimacum, Irondale and Hadlock. It has a single screen and a capacity of 154 cars.

This is where I worked through high school. As drive-ins go, it's a pretty special place. I think you'll see why in these pictures.

If you have time, check out our own drive-in, the Rodeo Triple in Port Orchard. It's Washington State's largest remaining family operated drive-in. We've got lots of pictures and interesting drive-in oriented links there.
